Welcome to the MPOCS Image Atlas

The MPOCS Image Atlas is a digital platform that aims to help community members and primary care providers recognize mpox lesions to aid in diagnosis and treatment.  The image atlas includes a variety of photos of mpox lesions at different stages and on different skin tones, as well as links to a variety of other mpox educational resources.

MPOCS Image Atlas

This site is meant for clinicians and community members as a resource to see what mpox looks like in real life. The images were taken in the context of a Research Ethics Board-approved research study that was conducted at various sites in Canada, and represent people’s experience with mpox over time. We acknowledge the people who have made generous contributions to this project by providing informed consent for the inclusion of their images here.

If you are concerned you may be experiencing mpox symptoms, please see a physician immediately. To learn more, please visit the “Resources” tab for more information. Please note that this site does not replace a medical consultation.
