Flank rash

Extensive maculopapular rash on the flank of a 60 year old man of Southeast Asian descent living with stable treated HIV. This rash extended to the upper buttocks, back and pubic region. An isolated umbilicated pustular lesion is also seen. This photo was taken six days after illness onset, which had involved fever, chills, malaise and headache. Other isolated skin lesions had emerged two days prior.
